Clapp Communications is pleased to announce that, Timmy Ruppersberger, has been promoted to Director of Business and Community Relations. Timmy was formerly the agency’s Business Officer.
“Timmy’s knowledge of politics, public finance and development has been a key asset to the Clapp Communications team and our recent growth,” said Clapp Communications’ President/CEO Barb Clapp. “Her frequent interactions with state and local governments and her legal experience and community connections have been indispensable resources. She possesses a wealth of knowledge about meeting client expectations in today’s business environment.”
Outside of Timmy’s professional experience and accomplishments, she is also a driven activist for the community. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, as the immediate past President of the Board of Governors of the University of Maryland Alumni Association and as Vice President of the Board of the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools. She has served on the Baltimore County Planning Board, the Board of Directors and the Legislative Committee of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Baltimore BORN (Boys Opportunity and Resource Network) and the Robert E. Lee Park Nature Council.
Timmy graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics and went on to earn a J.D. at the University of Maryland School of Law, graduating with honors. She practiced law in Maryland for 30 years and served as the Administrative Head of Venable LLP’s Towson office before joining Clapp Communications.
